Together Works is a co-operative, an autonomous association of organisations united voluntarily to meet their common economic, social, and cultural needs and aspirations through a jointly-owned and democratically-controlled enterprise.

Values
We hold to the values of self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equality, equity and solidarity, and ethical values of honesty, openness, social responsibility and caring for others. 

Principles
The seven co-operative principles are guidelines by which Together Works puts its values into practice.

1st Principle: Voluntary and Open Membership
Membership is open to all social enterprises trading and based in Greater Manchester. Associate membership is available to all others.

2nd Principle: Democratic Member Control
One member one vote.

3rd Principle: Member Economic Participation
Members may pay an annual fee and take part in the economic activity of Together Works.

4th Principle: Autonomy and Independence
Together Works is an independent organisation

5th Principle: Education, Training and Information

Together Works provides education, training and information for its members, employees and the general public.

6th Principle: Co-operation among Co-operatives
By its nature, Together Works facilitates co-operation between co-operatives.

7th Principle: Concern for Community
Together Works exists to promote and increase social benefits to communities served by social enterprises.
