Start in Salford's mission is to promote emotional well-being and recovery by providing creative arts-based activities and training opportunities for people who are, or may be at risk of experiencing mental health difficulties or social exclusion.

We develop community sport opportunities with a range of partners e.g. Local Authorities, Sport England, other agencies (Homeless Link, etc) and charities. We sponsor community sports opportunities from funds.

We aim to increase access to the arts by the wider community and to encourage environmental awareness through a shared arts and green space.

People will have a place to meet and eat together, to share experience of food and to develop their own skills in both organic growing and preparing food.
